Landscape Design is some kind of art that requires a high side of creativity to incorporate different elements and allow them to be in harmony together. Landscape Design principles are unity (design theme), simplicity (simple and clean), balance (sense of equality and harmony), colors (science of color usage and its psychological impact on viewers), and natural (gradual) transition, line (the way beds, walkways, and entryways move and flow), proportion (size of the elements related to each other), and repetition.

Although landscape designers are not required to be certified, but acquiring knowledge with many different fields such as; garden design, architecture and geography, soil and civil engineering, land surveying, landscape contracting, and botany will be considered as a privilege; as experienced and knowing landscape designer is highly recommended to be a pioneer within the field.

A landscape designer would enhance environment, add value to projects, be responsive to cultural aspects, design outdoor recreational facilities, and provide specifications of plant materials, equipment, and outdoor furniture.
